The Undergraduate Research Conference is proud to feature keynote speaker Jerusha Magalei, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work, who will share her thoughts on the conference theme, "He wa'a he moku, he moku he wa'a - The canoe is an island, an island is a canoe."

Take a break and practice mindfulness during a workshop hosted by BYUH Counseling Services.

Immersive Session A2 - Library Front Lawn

Stop by the tent in front of the library to learn more about sustainability efforts on campus led by the Kumuwaiwai Center for Sustainability. As part of our presentation, we'll be showcasing a model of a grow bed. At Kumuwaiwai, our mission is to promote sustainable living and environmental stewardship. Our grow bed model serves as a tangible example of how sustainable growing can be implemented practically and efficiently. We will also encourage class visitations, outreach opportunities, volunteer hours, and opportunities to be part of our community grow boxes program.

Immersive sessions are available as part of conference partnerships with BYUH Counseling Services and Kumuwaiwai Center for Sustainability.

The conference will close with an awards ceremony recognizing notable projects. Sustainability-focused awards are sponsored by the Kumuwaiwai Sustainability Center, and individual faculties on campus will also give out awards that demonstrate disciplinary excellence.
