The Undergraduate Research Conference is sponsored by BYUH Academics. We are grateful for our on-campus partners, who provide invaluable support that enriches the conference for all attendees.

Asia Pacific Career Conference (APCC)

The Asia-Pacific Career Conference is a three-day, annually recurring event focused on improving the lives of our students in Oceania, the Asian Rim, Hawaii, and the mainland through professional career development. Employers, graduate school representatives, students, faculty, and other expert professionals from across the region convene at one of the earth’s most beautiful universities—BYU–Hawaii—to network with, learn from, and recruit one another into great jobs and graduate programs.

The Undergraduate Research Conference takes place on day three of APCC. As part of our partnership, we encourage all URC student presenters to get APCC Certified in order to attend the Career and Graduate Fair and APCC Networking event. We also facilitate graduate school information sessions, application workshops, and classroom visits throughout the week of the conference.

Intersections: Journal of Asia Pacific Undergraduate Research

Intersections Journal is a peer-reviewed student journal that publishes intersectional scholarly research papers with a focus on the Asian and/or Pacific regions. The journal provides opportunities for BYUH students and alumni to publish their original work to amplify their academic careers. Scholars can strengthen their skills for futures in further education and vocational fields by accessing an extensive network of provided support throughout the publication process.

URC works closely with Intersections to identify high-quality conference projects that fit their criteria for publication.

BYUH Counseling Services

BYUH Counseling Services empower students to fulfill the BYU–Hawaii mission by building emotional resiliency, strengthening self-capacities, and enhancing personal growth. A URC partner for the 2024 conference, Counseling Services will participate in the URC kickoff, student orientation, and by providing mindfulness sessions on the day of the conference as part of our Immersive Session series.
